Green River Police Department reports for Dec. 1

At 7:59 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Monroe Avenue and issued the driver, Todd Mathews, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

At 8:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver, Carolynn St. John, of California, a citation for alleged speeding in a school zone. 

At 1:02 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged expired temporary license permit/improper registration. 

Dec. 2

At 12:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Upland Way and issued the driver Harold Moneyhun, of Green River, citations for alleged vehicle superintendent’s speed zone 6+ and valid certificate of title/registration required. 

At 12:44 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver Amanda Massey, of Vernal, a citation for alleged speed. 

Dec. 3

At 9:12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on W Teton Boulevard and issued the driver Chantz Poulsen, of Green River, a citation for alleged failure to display valid license plates/ stickers.

At 3:49 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on W Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver Bethany Ross, of Greenville, South Carolina, citations for alleged speed and DWUS.

At 4:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision on E Flaming Gorge Way. It was reported one vehicle was at the intersection of E Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive traveling westbound, and a second vehicle was traveling eastbound on E Flaming Gorge Way. The first vehicle initiated a left-hand turn and struck the second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the second vehicle, Derrik Erickson, of Rock Springs, a citation for an alleged compulsory auto insurance violation. Officers subsequently placed the driver of the first vehicle, Natasha Bauer, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DUI/18 or older with child passenger, child safety restraint system violation, vehicle turning left at intersection, compulsory auto insurance, open container alcohol, and possession of a controlled substance. Officers transported Bauer to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. 

Dec. 4

At 2 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on E 2 S Street and issued the driver Denny Damarto, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance. 

At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to Daniel Boone Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle that had been parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

Dec. 5

At 3:40 p.m., officers responded to McDonalds at 499 E 4 S Street for a two-vehicle collision. It was reported that one vehicle was in a parking space facing north and a second vehicle was traveling east through the parking lot. The first vehicle started to back out, then stopped, and the first vehicle and second vehicle collided. Officers issued the driver Travis Hamel, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged compulsory auto insurance and completed a report of the incident.  

At 6:58 p.m., officers responded to Uinta Drive for a report of a single-vehicle accident. It was reported the vehicle ran over a curb and hit a sign. Officers met with the driver and gathered information. 

Dec. 6

At 1:36 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Adams Street and issued the driver Dustin Punches, of Jamestown, citations for alleged DWUS, possession of a controlled substance, and stop sign violation. Punches was placed under arrest and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on W 2 N Street. Officers placed the driver Elicia Apostolope, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI, open container, and cross center line.

Dec. 7

At 8:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver Makenlee Grenier, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license.

At 9:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver Felix Abdon, of Utah, a citation for alleged speed.

At 9:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Scott’s Bottom Road and issued the driver Jaxon Carroll, of unknown, citations for alleged speed and no valid driver’s license.

Dec. 8

At 12:10 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver Ashley Rocha, of Rock Springs, citations for alleged stop before emerging from alley violation and expired temporary license/registration.

At 1:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver Skylar Marse, of Green River, a citation for alleged crossing center line.

At 5:05 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Monroe Avenue and issued the driver Orlando Degollado-Medina, of Rawlins, citations for alleged vehicle superintendents speed zone violation, DWUS, and compulsory auto insurance violation.

Dec. 9

At 7:57 a.m., officers responded to W Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a collision. Officers issued the driver Braxton Powell, of Green River, citations for alleged speed too fast for conditions, compulsory auto insurance violation, and no valid drivers license.

At 7:16 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver Luis Gonzalez, of Texas, a citation for alleged no valid drivers license.

Dec. 10

At 12:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Scott Philo, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers made contact with Mary Obrien, of Midwest, who was also placed under arrest for an active warrant. Officers transported Philo and Obrien to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Dec. 11

At 11:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Riverview Drive and issued the driver Sarala Sheth, of Rock Springs, a citation for an alleged one-way traffic signal violation.

At 2:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile in possession of a vaping device. Officers subsequently cited a juvenile for alleged unlawful use or possession of tobacco by a minor- 2nd offense and completed an incident report.
