SNAAG snags alleged drug group

A drug and fugitive apprehension sweep conducted by county deputies and the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Arrest Group team resulted in eight arrests Thursday night.

According to Sheriff Mike Lowell, Adam Fulmer, 20, of Rock Springs was arrested for alleged delivery of a controlled substance, alleged conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, and alleged possession of marijuana. Adam Wesley Benton, 25, of Rock Springs was arrested for an alleged probation violation on an original charge aggravated assault was wanted by Powell County, Mont. authorities for alleged burglary.

Deputies also arrested Cesar Quezada, 20, of Rock Springs for alleged possession of marijuana and psilocybin.

William Ray Clark, 19, of Rock Springs was arrested on warrants for alleged use of marijuana and alleged interference with a peace officer while Lester Dillon, 28, of Rock Springs was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana.

Lowell said in a media release from the sheriff’s office three juveniles were also arrested and charged with alleged conspiracy to delivery marijuana and psilocybin, alleged delivery of marijuana, alleged possession of marijuana, or alleged possession of marijuana and psilocybin. Officers of the Rock Springs Police Department assisted in the sweep.

The sheriff’s office SNAAG detail is a special unit of county detectives working drug and fugitive apprehension cases.
