Wolves end home season

The Green River High School boy’s swim team wrapped up their regular season home slate last night with a three team competition a the new aquatic center.

Green River second out of the three teams, edging out visiting Riverton by a eight-point differential. Rock Springs finished in first place.

Brendan Bloomquist was the top individual finisher for Green River. He finished first in the 100-yard backstroke. Ethan Moffatt placed second in the race, Logan Johnson was third, Miles Moffatt was fourth and Coleton Spalding completed a top-five sweep by placing fifth.

Two Green River Wolves also placed second at the competition. Senior Paul Wright finished second in the 100-yard butterfly and Keyan Moore finished second in 1- meter diving.

Other top five finishes for the Wolves included Wright placing fourth in the 200-yard freestyle, Brendon Curry-Hobbs finishing fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, Spalding placing fifth in diving and Waelon Strange placing fifth in the 500-yard freestyle. Zander Potter placed third and Devin Ratliff was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. Bloomquist placed third in the 200-yard IM.

The team will travel to Gillette Friday for a two-day competition at Campbell County High School.
