From legal forms to genealogy, find it all in the databases

It is 2015! I still can’t believe it. With the New Year comes many new tasks. For many people this starts with the New Year’s resolutions and getting prepared for the year ahead. Whether it’s new diet, getting organized or just making more time for ourselves, this is a great time to start something new.

One of my priorities this year is to make sure all my important papers are in order. I do a pretty good job generally, but with all things, we need to update now and then. One of the ways we can all do this is by visiting the Legal Forms database on the Sweetwater County Library System web page at http://www.sweetwaterlibraries.com. By finding the subject that is needed and downloading forms, we can start to prepare the necessary paperwork to protect us and our families in times of need.

This amazing database can be found by clicking on the Databases tab located toward the top of the opening page and scrolling down. Once you click on the link you will need your library card number and PIN. (If you do not know your PIN, contact the library).

Once in, you will find a vast listing of legal forms available for your use. A sampling from the list are as follows: Adoption, Affidavits, Applications, Attorneys, Automobile, Banking, Bankruptcy, Bills of Sale, Business Sales, Certificates, Cohabitation, Collections, Contacts, Copyrights Patents and Trademarks, Divorce, Elder Law, Family Law, Insurance, Landlord Tenant, Leases, Liens, Loans and Lending, Marriage, Minors, Name Change, Paternity, Personal Planning, Power of Attorney, Probate, Real Estate, Small Business, Trusts, and Wills. Most forms can be opened in a Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) or Rich Text format.

The library provides many other databases for your use. Are you interested in vehicle repair? You might try the Auto Repair Reference Center. Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC) is the most comprehensive collection of automobile repair reference information and contains repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles.

New repair procedures, TSBs and updates are added to the product on a regular basis. Another vehicle database is Chilton Library.

Authoritative automotive repair information. Thousands of year, make and model combinations covering the most popular vehicles of the past 30 years, plus additional coverage of specialty models.

There is a large list of additional databases provide by the Wyoming State Library and the Sweetwater County Library System.
