Hope Eftehea Thomas

Hope Eftehea Thomas, 86, of Rock Springs passed away Nov. 11, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.  A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Thomas died suddenly. 

She was born on May 19, 1928 in Blackrock, Greece the daughter of the late Nick Glava and Elanie Haleston.  

Thomas attended schools in Greece. 

She married Harry Thomas on Oct. 16, 1949 in Corinth, Greece.

Thomas was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and the Areanas Club. 

Her interests included her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Thomas enjoyed gardening, cooking and volunteering for many years baking pastries for the Greek Orthodox Church's Annual Bake Sale.

She is survived by son Nick Thomas and Mitchel Thomas and wife Patty, all of Rock Springs; daughters Christine Faigl and husband Dave of Rock Springs, and Eva Peroulis and husband Tony of Craig, Colo .; seven grandchildren, Gina Faigl, Thomas Faigl, Harry Ryan Thomas, Hopie Roby and Lulu Hellickson, all of Rock Springs, and Katelyn Peroulis and John T. Peroulis both of Craig, Colo .; five greatgrandchildren Faith Roby, Nathanial Roby, Kayden Roby, Dalton Thomas, Evyn Thomas and Bracken Hellickson, all of Rock Springs. She is also survived by three cousins, Tommy Maneotis and George Maneotis, both of Craig, Colo., and Andy Maneotis of Denver; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Thomas of Logan, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, brother Demetrios Glava and sister Katina Gispou.

Funeral Services took place Monday.
